EDUCATION SUPPORT

Our Aim

We want to work with you to challenge the traditional assumptions regarding pupils who are regarded as being on the 'cliff edge' or 'slipping through the net'. We want every pupil to have the best chance of succeeding in life through a holistic and inclusive approach with education, families and other service providers.

Mission

We believe in investing in people. As professionals in the helping profession, we believe and aspire to offer a better future to those children, young people and families we work with. Success for us means unleashing the potential of each individual we engage with, so they can grow and develop each day, to be better versions of themselves. Our values are grounded in our determination to be the change we want to see in the world, through passion, commitment and integrity. We want to plant a seed of kindness and compassion in a generation that will produce resilience and hope and enable them to fulfil their own destinies. Our success will therefore be measured in the lives we change through REACH.

Our Service

We can offer a bespoke outREACH package that best suits the needs of the pupil who may be at risk of permanent exclusion. Our approach is embedded in a range of theoretical frameworks such as:

  • Systemic Practice
  • Attachment Regulation and Competency Framework (ARC)
  • Solution Focused Model
  • We will identify and use the right approach for the right situation to engage with staff and pupils respectively and collectively. The overarching framework is Relationship Based and we will apply models flexibly to achieve the desired outcomes. We want to promote resilience and offer tools for educational staff, pupils and their parents to respond to the changing needs of the pupil that would enhance their cognitive, social and emotional competence.

Assessment

We will do an assessment of the pupil to establish a holistic view of their emotional, social and educational development. Assessment is a continuing process, not just a single event. Through the assessment process we want to establish:

  • The root cause of their educational difficulties
  • the relationship between the home and school environment
  • Protective factors
  • Areas of concern
  • What would make the difference in educational outcomes
  • Establish what skills and coping mechanisms might be required for the pupil to succeed in life, education and employment.

The assessment is a culmination of information obtained from the school, parent, pupil and other agencies. It aims to establish the best route of intervention to achieve the most likely outcome of an educational outcome that will continue to motivate the pupil to economic well-being.
